Identification
A small goby of 5 to 7 cm with a relatively slender body. Light brown to greyish with irregular dark spots.
Ecology
Lives on sand and mud bottoms at greater depths than most gobies, usually 15 to 250 meters.
In the Netherlands
Found in the deeper parts of the North Sea. Less coastal than the sand goby.
