Status
Records exist under Phoxinus cf. for minnow-like fish whose exact species has not been formally established. The designation "cf." (Latin: confer) indicates the specimen resembles a known species but has not been identified with certainty.
In the Netherlands
Recent taxonomic research has split the genus Phoxinus into multiple species. Earlier records identified as common minnow (Phoxinus phoxinus) may belong to a different species. Further genetic analysis is needed.
